One Year Ago

The title of my blog refers to a journey, and what a journey it has been!

Exactly a year ago today I was asked to be on the First Grade Team at the school that i'm currently teaching at.

Tomorrow is the last day of my first year.

It's pretty emotional to think back on all that has happened and how far the Lord has brought me. And you guys might be tired of hearing about it, but who's blog is this? :)

If you get anything at all from visiting this place I hope it's that He is good. He being the God of all creation. Even when it doesn't "feel" like it... He. Is. Good.

When you feel like you are worthless... let Him remind you that you are worth it to Him.

When you lack confidence.... let Him be that for you.

When you are afraid.... remember that there is power in His name... and speak it outloud while believing Him.

When you have no idea where you are going... know that He does.... and trust that He has your bet interest in mind.

When the circumstances in your life tempt to rob you of your joy.... know that He is your daily portion and passion.

It has been such a blessing for me personally to be able to come back to the pages of this journal and read all that the Lord has done, not just over the past year, but leading up to this year. If you had told me in the midst of all my insecurities and trials that this is where I would be today.... I don't really know what I would have thought. And I don't just mean where I would be physically - the location, town, and school. I mean spiritually, in my journey with the Lord Jesus Christ.

There were times throughout college when things just really seemed dim.

I'm so glad that I have Him with me where ever I go.
I'm so glad that He took all of those "issues" and used them for His glory, my good.
I'm so glad that He has prospering plans for me and that He believes in me.
I'm so glad that there is more to life than just being a teacher.

It is truly about the journey.

The journey of knowing of Him.

All glory to You, Lord God. Praise Your Holy Name.
