i survived...

Today went well! i believe i am a 'night owl' ... is that the right saying? i dont know, but you get what i'm saying. For a while i was going to sleep at 10 and then slowly i started staying up later and later. But it wasn't like i was out doing anything, i was sitting in the rocking chair, or on the swing on the back porch, reading the bible and praying. For some reason, i really enjoy being alone for about an hour before i go to bed... which is ODD because whenever i was depressed, i HATED nights. They were the worst. You could make it through the day because you were busy going to class or something, but then night came and it was like bring on the tears. It just seems like i can read, and i'm wide awake and aware of everything that happened that day... i can reflect on the things that i'm learning or whatever, i dont know... it just makes me happy because i'm learning something about myself- here is something that is completely Megan and not Megan copying anyone... she truly enjoys her nights - and she no longer fears them! YAY! haha... [one day i'll get to share this with my husband, sitting up in bed or on the back porch just reading... just being in the same room together! :) ]

all that said, back to the day... i was so fired up last night, ready to start this job, learn and give it my all... and i was actually excited! Then my alarm goes off this morning and i remember - o you're SO not a morning person. But i got up, spent some time with the Lord and went on my way. I still saw a difference in myself than past babysitting experiences that i've had. I love the Lord... He is changing me, and it makes me SO excited!

i do believe i had the most disgusting experience i have ever had with babysitting today... As i was reading a commentary for my paper, i hear Zoey yelling 'eww Levi don't wipe that on me' ... so i look over to see him with a booger on his finger, searching for a place for it to rest. GAG ME! seriously i almost threw up, and i made sure that he knew about it too. If that's not enough, he acted like he was going to eat it and i told him to stop and he responded with ' what? i did it before and it was good.' SERIOUSLY? he wasn't joking people, that's the scary part. After making him NOT wipe it on his cover, he put it his candy wrapper.... literally, my stomach was about to blow. I don't really get grossed out, but today, that one got me. Just thought i'd share that moment with you... you know you enjoyed it!

Well my paper is still yet to be written, or even started for that matter - so i HAVE to go do something for it. I tried working on it today, and with a 5 year old who wants constant attention - it just was NOT possible. and truth be told, the 21 year old really isnt too thrilled about writing it either... but it's easier to blame him for it. haha TOTALLY KIDDING!

Some verses i read last night :
Psalm 18:1
I love you, O LORD, my strength.
Psalm 19:7-9
The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul. The statutes of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple. The precepts of the LORD are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the LORD are radiant, giving light to the eyes. The fear of the LORD is pure, enduring forever.
Psalm 19:14
May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.
Psalm 20:4-5
May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed. We will shout for joy when you are victorious and will lift up our banners in the name of our God.
I hope you have a wonderful night! Love~

The boy I watched last summer picked a boggie and would have wiped it between my couch cushions if I hadn't startled him with my screams of horror. Boys are gross!
